Entries are limited – once limits are reached no further entries will be taken.

Courses

The 11km run starts on the Brooker Highway adjacent to the Hobart Showground.

Parking is on the reserve opposite Hobart Showground. Access via Acton Crescent.

Walkers are not permitted in the 11km run. This is a RUNNING event.

Short walk breaks are permitted. It is recommended that entrants in the 11km run be at least 13 years of age on race day.

MP3 players/headphones are not permitted. iPods or iPhones worn on the arm without headphones are fine.

The 7km runCity to Casino 7km run

The 7km run starts on Bellevue Parade New Town below the Brooker Highway overpass.

Please assemble at Cornelian Bay prior to the start.

It is recommended that entrants in the 7km run be at least 12 years of age on race day.

Parking is available at Cornelian Bay however please arrive early to avoid road closures.

This is a running event however short walk breaks are permitted.

MP3 players/headphones are not permitted. iPods or iPhones worn on the arm without headphones are fine.

The 7km walkCity to Casino 7km walk

The 7km walk starts at Cornelian Bay adjacent to the playground. Parking is available at Cornelian Bay however please arrive early to avoid road closures.

This event is for people who wish to walk the entire distance.

Please enter the run if you wish to run more than halfway – this assists in alleviating congestion.

MP3 players/headphones are not permitted. iPods or iPhones worn on the arm without headphones are fine.

The 2.7km runCity to Casino 2.7km run

The 2.7km run starts at the intersection of Salamanca Place and Davey St.

This event is for children aged 12 or under.

Adults are permitted in this event only for the purposes of accompanying their children.

 

FAQ

Start time

All events start at 9am. All events will have a gun start.

Timing

Electronic timing will be used. Start times will be gun times, the finish times will be recorded as you cross the finish line. Results will be published in The Mercury. All participants finishing under 2 hours will receive a finisher’s medallion and certificate.

Race Packs

If you entered prior to Saturday 13 May, your race pack will be availble for collection from The Running Edge from Monday 15 May.

If you entered after Friday 12 May, your race pack will be available from The Running Edge on Saturday 20 May.

Alternatively, race packs may be collected on race day at your start location.

Toilets

Toilets will be available at the 11km start, Cornelian Bay, St David’s Park and the finish.

Drink Stations

Drink stations will be at Cornelian Bay and St David’s Park. Fruit and drinks will be available at the finish.

Checked baggage

There will be a checked baggage facility at each start line. Checked baggage closes at 8:45am. Checked baggage will be available for collection at the finish area at Wrest Point after the event.

First Aid

First Aid will be provided by St Johns Ambulance.

Police

Participants must obey Police, SES and Traffic Warden instructions at all times. Participants may be asked to move off the course for safety reasons or if they are obstructing the clear passage of official vehicles.

Presentations

Presentations commence at 9:55am.

Buses

Free buses to Cornelian Bay and Elwick Rd will leave Wrest Point carpark at 8am sharp. Parking is available on the top level of the Wrest Point carpark. Free buses will leave Nelson Rd at 10:15am to return to the 7km and 11km starts. You do not need a ticket or a booking to board the bus.

Transfers/Changes

Transfers or changes to entries must be emailed to citytocasino@gmail.com by Thursday 18 May. No transfers or changes will be possible after 18 May.

Refunds

Entries will not be refunded. If you wish to transfer your entry please email details to citytocasino@gmail.com by 17 May 2017.
