All events start at 8am. All events will have a gun start.
Electronic timing will be used. Start times will be gun times, the finish times will be recorded as you cross the finish line. Results will be published in The Mercury. All participants finishing under 2 hours will receive a finisher’s medallion and certificate.
Entries open on : Thursday, 1 December 2022. Entries close on : Saturday, 20 May 2023.
Your race bib can be picked up from The Running Edge at 73 Murray Street, Hobart between these hours:
Thursday, 18 May: 9:00am - 5:30pm
Friday, 19 May: 9.00am - 5:30pm
Saturday, 20 May: 9.00am - 4:00pm
Toilets will be available at the 12km start (MyState Bank Arena), Cornelian Bay, St David’s Park and the finish.
The drink station is at the Cenotaph. Fruit and drinks will be available at the finish.
There will be a vehicle at each start to take your bags to the finish. To identify your bag, please use the perforated tag on your bib. These vehicles leave at 7:45am sharp. Your bags will be available for collection at the finish area at Wrest Point after the event.
First aid will be provided by St John Ambulance.
Participants must obey Police, SES and Traffic Warden instructions at all times. Participants may be asked to move off the course for safety reasons or if they are obstructing the clear passage of official vehicles.
Presentations will be conducted on the Wrest Point waterfront lawn this year. Winners will be presented with prizes at 9:30am.
Also on the waterfront lawn area, we will have your drinks and fruit, together with entertainment including the Jack Jumpers Hoop Trailer, DJ Nick Corney, coffee truck (Gert and Ted) and a BBQ put on by the Fahan Sailing Club.
We have lots of fantastic spot prizes to be drawn, so make sure you are there to collect.
The Running Edge Schools Challenge will be a little different this year, with the first person registered to a school drawn, will win $500 for their school, this includes Primary, Secondary Schools and Colleges.
Buses to Cornelian Bay and MyState Bank Arena will leave Wrest Point carpark at 7am sharp. Parking is available on the top level of the Wrest Point carpark. Buses will leave Sandy Bay Rd from 9:45am to return to the 7km and 12km starts. There is a fee per person required to board the buses ( $5), this is to help cover the cost of this service.
